Get Free Windows XP SP2 CD to home


As part of their security initiative, Microsoft has gotten progressively more ambitious about offering large downloads on CD.
These CDs are free of charge, with no shipping costs associated. Even if you already plan on acquiring SP2 through Windows Update, I highly recommend requesting a XP SP2 CD.
Keep it on hand when you rebuild your system from the ground up, or offer it to bandwidth deprived friends who might not otherwise upgrade.
The CD is currently available in English and German, with other language dates announced on the order page.

Note: You must install language version of SP2 that match your current Windows XP version.
Example: you CANNOT update Chinese Windows XP using English version of SP2.
Only XPSP2 Updates is available in the CD.

If your friends haven’t update to SP2, please ask them to get the free CD. It will help your friends to have more secure computing experience using Windows XP.
